Don't be afraid of it. Tell her it's okay and to let it out when she vents like that. She's probably so out of touch with those feelings herself, that is scares her, too! Cool!

Wife vented tonight!
by 5thGeneration inmy babe (wife's approved nickname) finally vented today because it was her birthday, which we couldn't acknowledge, and she feels really emotional that she never had a chance at a real career, may have wasted her life, etc.... she may be coming around a bit but now this is really uncharted territory!.
ironically i'm getting through to her but it's scaring the bajeebers out of me now!

monthly misery, illness, homework - usually it did not work - but sometimes it did
I wore them down. By the time I was 16, they quit pushing it; I stayed home and did the dishes and housework instead. I think they actually loved that. Unbelievably, so did I. I got to listen to American Top 40 every Sunday while my sibs had to sit thru sh!t meetings.

Apology for raising children in the Truth
by jeanne40love inwould you apologize in writing to your children for raising them in the truth?
i've apologized verbally........ none of them is going to meetings any longer...... my husband and i have been drifting away for several years..... .
i was raised a witness, and thought we were doing the right thing.

One of my affirmations is,"I may not have created all of my problems, but I am still responsible for them."
I guess that goes for mistakes, like a parent joining a cult, but that's my affirmation, not theirs. When I am responsible for a mistake that I recognize, I apologize for it and try to move on.
If they actually believed they made any mistakes by bringing us up as Jehovah's Witnesses, an apology would go a long way to making peace, and I would certainly accept it.
Unfortunately, people who still believe they are chosen by god usually don't apologize for their delusions.
It would be impossible not to forgive the people I love for being deluded, but that doesn't mean I have to put up with being abused or neglected by them.

- Prozac has helped a lot off and on over the years.
- So has psychiatric counseling,
- Education;
- Staying away from the stupid, rude and abusive people
- Drinking and drug abuse have been useful at times, but not very helpful.
Sometimes things are lovely in the real world and a lot of times they're not, but it's real, not a make-believe-daydream- blue pill scenario.

Clayton Woodworth was the editor,
Wow. The very tall, old, white-haired man who asked me my baptismal questions was a brother Woodworth. I wonder if that was him, or his son . . . what year? Let me go back.
Thanks for the explain, Leo. Sorry to be so lazy. Now, I really must read this article!
